A day in your life as a poor child

Today was not one of those days, when I got up it was so cold it felt like I was in Antarctica! I didn't want to get up so my mom said I could stay home from school. When I finally managed to get up out of bed, walk all the way to the kitchen and walk some more to get to the cupboard, I was really hungry, I closed my eyes for a while thinking of a big fat stake and hoped I would appear in the cupboard, when I opened my eyes I wiped the cupboard door open and saw there was no food! I ran to my bedroom as fast as I could and when I got on to my bed I flopped down and started to cry, it was just not right, I have been living in a shack all my life. Houses that are made out of thin material, no food in the cupboard. It's not fair!

Latter I smelled something delicious coming from the kitchen, I went to go investigate. I saw my dad sitting at the table eating soup. Now I was not so fond of soup, but I was so hungry I didn't care. I wolfed down my food and went outside for fresh air. Though all the hunger and stuff I really had to go to the bathroom. I told my mom where I was going and raced down the street and when I finally got to the bathroom someone was already in there. So I waited and waited and waited some more, and as soon as she was out I had zipped in without even looking at who she was. When I got back I thought that the idea of one toilet in every street was messed up. At night the air was so frosty and cold I thought it was going to snow. I opened the cupboard while thinking why bother there will be no food anyway and I found one crum. A crum even to small for a mouse. AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!
